A daily newsletter that sends out part-time jobs and projects for freelance workers.
How It Works
The core of this business would run on a simple but effective system built around RSS feeds and automated filtering. Here’s how it would work:
First, I’d aggregate job postings from multiple sources using their RSS feeds - platforms like GitHub Jobs, Stack Overflow Jobs, and various freelance job boards that offer RSS functionality. I’d write a script to pull these feeds once each mornging, ensuring fresh leads.
The automation would then filter these jobs based on if it included keywords like “part-time”, “contract”, “freelance”, etc.
I’d create the first few emails manually, then utilize Claude/OpenAI to programmatically create and send each daily email.
To maintain exclusivity and ensure leads remain valuable, I’d limit membership to ~100 developers.
Each morning at 7 AM local time, subscribers would receive a curated email with 3-5 high-qualit leads. The email would include the essential details: project scope, budget range, client details, and direct links to apply.
As the service grew, you could eventually segment leads by tech stack, and only send customers leads that are specific to their tech stack. You could also repeat this same service for freelance writers, designers, and more.
